35 Years and 15,000 People

Yesterday was the big 35th Anniversary concert for the radio station I used to work for, and for the milemarker of years served over the airways we held a really big concert at a legendary venue, Bethel Woods. For those of you who don't know why Bethel is such a legendary venue, well that would be because it was the original spot of the 1969 Woodstock Music Festival. If you live nearby and haven't been, I highly suggest that you do, perhaps it's the nerdy geeky history nostalgia side of me or the gorgeous views that Bethel has to offer, but there's just something in the air that says mellow and relax, just be happy.

But I digress.

Since it was the station's 35th Anniversary they got some special acts to come (The Doobie Brothers and Lynryd Skynryd) and an unofficial official spokeswoman dressed in nothing but some underwear and body paint. Aside from it being massively cold on in middle of August, I had to give her props, she was essentially naked around a bunch of rowdy drunken middle-aged men and old drunken creepers who have this innate need to touch you.

It was a long day, a tiring day, but a productive one to say the least.

And the brave girl goes out to represent...

Oh it also doesn't hurt when the opening band is quite easy on the eyes...
